SkillPages reaches one million users

SkillPages has announced that in excess of one million people have joined the social network in less than 150 days. The Irish owned firm which was formerly launched in January 2011 has raised €3.5 million to date.

The firm’s free service aids users to connect with people who need their skills. SkillPages co-founded by former Perlico CEO Iain Mac Donald currently boasts users in over 160 countries. The skill based social networking company celebrated its one million users by launching a new feature called “Opportunities.”

CEO Iain Mac Donald (pictured) commented that, “we set out to enable a simple way for people to create a credible online presence for their skills.” Mac Donald added that, “our user growth is a reflection of how people are reacting positively, creating a SkillPages and getting found by new customers and employers.”
