Irish Greyhound Board launch bespoke mobile app

The official Irish Greyhound Board app includes racing news, results, fixtures, stadium information, and highlights and reviews from greyhound racing expert Michael Fortune’s Talking Dogs feature. It’s available free of charge from the App Store and Android Market.

Navigon
For: Windows Phone 7

Navigon has developed a new GPS app for Windows Phone 7. The on-board navigation solution is now available from Windows Phone Marketplace and runs on devices compatible with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango (being rolled out by Irish operators over the coming weeks).

The app features Lane Assistant Pro, that shows drivers which lane they need to be in and MyRoutes, which suggests up to three different routes tailored to the personal driving style, day of the week and time of day.

Traffic Live provides traffic information in real time. In addition, drivers can be guided directly to destinations from their address book or use the Reality Scanner. It displays points of interest located in the surrounding area in the live image of the smartphone camera. With "NAVIGON Shortcut", users can store favourites such as their home address as a shortcut directly on their Windows Phone 7 home screen.

Pther features include Pedestrian Navigation and Smart Speller, which automatically recognises street names when the destination is entered. Furthermore, destinations can also be entered using geo-coordinates.

Smart Alarm Clock

Available in free and premium versionis this app tracks not only acts as a traditional alarm, it also gives you data about your length and depth of sleep. It also wakes you gently with a musical tone that gradually gets louder so you don’t suffer from ‘alarm shock’. Just place it on your bed beside you and try and get a decent night’s rest.
The premium version includes in app purchase add-ons, including beats, guided meditation and chillout tracks.
