Promptwatch raises six million for AI search optimisation
Amsterdam-based start-up Promptwatch raises six million euros in venture capital in a seed round.
The new funds will go towards product development and international expansion, including the opening of an office in New York.
Promptwatch has built a platform that allows agencies, advertisers and SEO specialists to monitor prompts and volumes, but also manage ChatGPT Shopping and agent analytics, as well as Reddit marketing and content agents.
In May 2026, the company passed the threshold of two million euros in ARR. That is jargon for annual recurring revenue, a unit of measurement used to translate current monthly revenue to an annual basis.
Promptwatch co-founder Gijs de Groot could not be reached by phone yesterday afternoon for questions from Emerce.
According to the company, its client base of 1,840 organisations includes, among others, Duolingo, adwise, Monks, Bitvavo, DPG Media, a.s.r. and ABN AMRO.
The company is only a year old and previously raised 1.2 million euros in a pre-seed round, also with Arches Capital. In the current round, seed + speed ventures from Germany and Blum Ventures from Austria are also participating.
