The Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition (DJSC) invites your organisation to become a partner in a transformative national initiative addressing Ireland’s digital skills shortage and advancing EU objectives. Since its formation in 2016, the DJSC has united academia, industry, public service, and the not-for-profit sector to build a digitally skilled workforce, prepare young people for future professions, and ensure digital inclusion for all citizens. The DSJC is now managed by FIT (Fastrack into Information Technology).
Why join?
- Shape Ireland’s digital agenda: As a partner, you will help define priorities, advocate for action, and influence national policy frameworks such as Technology Skills 2022 – Ireland’s Third ICT Skills Action Plan, the National Digital Strategy 2023–2030, and Ibec’s Our Digital Ambition.
- Access a one-stop hub: Benefit from a modern, interactive national website offering high-quality, up-to-date information on training, funding, best practices, and events. This platform connects Irish initiatives to the EC Core Platform, enhancing visibility and interoperability.
- Collaborate and network: Engage with 50 member organisations, including government bodies, private companies, and educational institutions. Participate in quarterly coalition meetings, webinars, and European events, sharing knowledge and best practices across sectors.
- Promote inclusion and accessibility: The DJSC prioritises accessibility and inclusion, working with partners such as the National Disability Authority and teacher unions to ensure compliance with EU directives and to support underrepresented groups.
- Drive innovation and upskilling: Partners contribute to upskilling initiatives, modernising teaching content, upgrading teacher skills, and championing novel approaches like professional apprenticeships. The coalition supports ICT as a career choice and alternative pathways, aligning digital skills provision with industry demand.
- Expand European reach: Collaborate with European initiatives funded by Digital Europe, Horizon, and Erasmus+. The DJSC works closely with the DSJP team to localise campaigns and extend reach via a robust stakeholder network.
- Sustainability and impact: The DJSC’s actions reinforce national strategies for inclusion, innovation, and workforce transformation. FIT, the national ICT representative body, coordinates the coalition, ensuring alignment with Ireland’s digital skills policy and training provision.
