A survey of C-suite leaders in Ireland and the UK by Salesforce found that almost four out of five (78%) respondents were already using AI agents in workflows, with 72% rating their technical infrastructure’s adaptability to AI as good or very good, enabling rapid growth and scaling. Furthermore, Irish organisations appear to have higher current use and faster planned adoption of AI technologies than in the UK, especially predictive and generative AI.

Employees are saving between three and 10 hours per week by using AI agents, which translates to up to a full day each week freed from routine, low-impact tasks.

For employers, these tangible gains are adding up, with an anticipated 26% increase in employee productivity.

Spurred by the $6 trillion digital labour market opportunity, thousands of customers around the world are investing in Agentforce, Salesforce’s digital labour platform, to build and deploy agents that can reason, decide, act, and drive meaningful outcomes 24/7‌.

Salesforce’s research showed nearly one in four Irish and UK workers will be reassigned to different roles in the near future, as the world of work is being re-written with digital labour. Workforce changes in Ireland indicate more role reassignments and structural shifts, with greater reductions in leadership and support roles compared to the UK.

The majority (84%) of senior leaders said they planned to train their teams on AI within the next 12 months, investing 12% of an average salary. Training on AI agents is being prioritised even sooner in Ireland, along with expectations to invest more in reskilling employees.

Salesforce’s UKI Digital Labour Trends survey was based on a survey of 110 C-level executives involved in the decision-making of AI integration or automation for their companies.
