Department of Education and Skills teams with pTools for new website

Educators will be get improved online support following a revamping of the website for the Department, of Education and Skills.

Developed in association with enterprise Web content management provider pTools and design firm Fusio, the new site aims to make information more easily available through the use of channels specifically geared at teachers, parents, schools and students, as well as information on the Department’s schools building programme.

New features in the website include a ‘find a school’ search feature which contains details of all schools in the country and can be accessed through an interactive mapping tool, and links to key primary, post-primary and third level resources.

Minister for Education and Skills Ruairí Quinn said: "I am very pleased with the re-vamped Department of Education and Skills website. It has already seen an increased level of traffic and is much more user friendly. I think it is an excellent resource for students, parents and those who work in the education sector."
