Clearwire has unveiled a new wireless broadband Internet service offering consumers a download speeds of 1.3Mb/s and upload of 256Kb/s.
The service is only available in certain pockets of South Dublin stretching from Sandyford to Crumlin and uses a cellular network as opposed to DSL technology to deliver the service.
Users are only required to plug a modem into their PC via Ethernet to connect to the Internet, provided that coverage is available. The service launches at the beginning of November.
