Economic: e-net CEO Conal Henry
The Irish open access network operator, e-net, has been named by Deloitte as the best-managed company for 2011. The award follows e-net’s recent sixth-place ranking in Deloitte’s Fast 50 league table.
The award was accepted by e-net CEO Conal Henry, who said: “The entire e-net team showed that telecommunications networks can be operated in a way that is both economic and policy supportive.”
The network operator also manages Ireland’s Metropolitan Area Networks.
The Deloitte award recognises indigenous firms being run at optimal levels of business performance, and uses an evaluation process beyond mere financial results.
Criteria used by the judges included strategy, capability, commitment, financials and growth potential across all key functions of the business. This year, they also gauged how companies planned sustainable growth.
The awards ceremony is now in its third year in Ireland.
