ShoreTel has penned a deal with William Fry to deploy integrated unified communications solution in at the legal firm’s new office in Grand Canal Square, Dublin. The contract, worth €290,000, was awarded after a competitive process.

The ShoreTel solution, which will be implmented by Phone Pulse – is expected to save William Fry upwards of €16,000 each year through the replacement of the existing PBX system and use of instant messaging, call visibility and mobile app integration. Other benefits include full integration with other systems in place such as Citrix, increased productivity, remote login, audio conferencing and VoIP over Wi-Fi.

“ShoreTel far exceeded any other solution we considered. Phone Pulse made it clear it was ideal for our specific needs,” said Michael Devitt, IT director, William Fry. “ShoreTel is easy to use, which is critical as our teams need to be focussed on matters of law and our clients, not on our communications system. The ability to communicate in the lifeblood of our business and failure to do so or challenges in doing so would damage our reputation and our clients’ confidence.

“As a provider, Phone Pulse gave excellent support during what was a very big move for William Fry. They tested the ShoreTel solution in a matter of days and completed the rollout, which included 425 new phones, in just a few weeks.”

Barry Dillon, regional sales director, Ireland, Middle East and Nordic regions, ShoreTel, added: “ShoreTel has a deep understanding of how legal firms need to work. Lawyers need to have access to the right information wherever they are and however they’re working, so they can respond to client needs.”
