Vodafone embarks on significant recruitment drive

Vodafone Ireland is embarking on a recruitment drive to appoint 113 people across its business to support its development and expansion in Ireland. These appointments will include positions in technology and networks, customer service, HR, finance, sales and marketing. Fifty-seven of these new positions will be permanent, with a further 51 contract roles and five graduate recruits.

Vodafone will be recruiting candidates from entry- to managerial level. Most of the 51 contract positions will be for one to two-year duration and will commence from 1 April.

Anne O’Leary, CEO of Vodafone Ireland, said: “To meet the increasing customer demand for mobile, broadband and data services, we have embarked on a major nationwide network investment programme while also delivering new converged fixed and mobile services. We are delighted to be hiring again at a significant level to support this business drive. We are looking for people with a passion for technology and innovation who will bring something special to Vodafone and our customers. Under its graduate programme, Vodafone currently has over 26 graduates from a range of disciplines working in its business. The programme is in its fourth year with 76 participants to date, over 70% of whom having secured permanent positions in Vodafone Ireland.

Vodafone currently has 1,100 permanent employees in the Republic of Ireland.
