On its third outing TechTrade Live has a whole new energy. Moved to the environs of the Pavilion at Leopardstown Race Course, the theme of this year’s event is ‘partnerships for success’. This key focus is helping to shape how the visitor can plan and take the most from this strategic one day out.
It is the pressure on the trade professionals’ time that has been the cornerstone of the planning for this year. Events like this must educate, entertain and inform and more importantly allow swift convenient networking opportunities. Obviously as a trade only event resellers can experience at first hand the latest product and service offerings. This one-on-one opportunity comes but once a year so distributors and vendors alike ensure they bring their best expertise and knowledge for the visitor.
Nowhere else will you get to see all Ireland’s top vendors and distributors. For channel partners trying to expand into new markets or specialisms Tech Trade Live is a forum where vital information can be sourced. Recently the concept of experiential marketing where live person to person contact is made has re-emerged as a key tool in sales and marketing. The volume of content, mis-information and mis-interpretation from online sources can confuse even the best of us. Exhibitions like this deliver the message to the heart of decision making in a professional informed manner. Vendors get to connect again with a huge number of customers face-to-face which can take months of time otherwise from sales recources. This offers both trade professional and supplier a unique occasion.
The information series is packed with content. The venue can now afford three keynote briefing sessions, with special meeting rooms and demo rooms available. So if it is a quite chat you are after have no fear the facilities are there. Additionally special distributor hubs are being created to allow key vendor partners have a specific space, clearly branded to help visiting resellers get the fastest content gathering opportunity on the day. Visitors will find a relaxed environment with plenty of space to create new relationships and cement old ones. Last year an astonishing 82% of the 320 resellers that visited indicated they would forge new partnerships as a result of attending. This year that can only get better.
Channel partners are so important in reaching the ever complicated end user market. Vendors know they must reach out and bring their top guns to Tech Trade Live. This makes the decision to attend so much easier as resellers cannot gain the breadth of knowledge on offer anywhere else. The timing of course is crucial in the calendar year. Plans for 2015 product roll-outs will first appear here to help plan budgeting and market opportunity for the reseller. The chance is here to examine products solutions and services that can deliver margin in to the year end and onward.
Huge challenges face the resellers every day in trying to keep abreast of technology changes and end user habits. Learning how to target new decision makers within user organisations is one of those challenges. IT departments are not the source of all IT solutions purchased. At TechTrade Live resellers will be able to track and understand this evolution to help build better product offerings. Vendor knowledge on tap will allow suggestions for resellers on how to focus their own key product sets. Vendors have wide network in turn informing them on market dynamics globally and they can have that at the Pavilion to facilitate better understanding for resellers.
Reflecting the distributors’ unique role and importance in Ireland’s IT channel, this year we are also taking a different approach to our distributor hubs. As outlined above it helps guide the resellers and there are still opportunities in this area for participation. The flexibility makes it even easier for all distributors and vendors to be involved, reflecting the ‘partnerships for success’ theme. There are still exhibitor and sponsor partner marketing partnerships so please contact the sales team should you wish to discuss.
The event is bigger that you think as within any channel partner there are various sales, marketing and technology professionals who will all get something from their visit, which can can be planned at TechTrade Live.ie.
Remember this is a trade only event. Put 21 October in your diary now.
