Storm Technology has acquired enterprise resource planning and corporate performance management solutions provider Ciall.

The addition of enterprise resource planning and corporate performance management talent to Storm’s existing expertise in the areas of the digital workplace, digital customer engagement, data analytics and digital transformation now positions the company to help clients optimise investments in digital technologies to grow revenue, increase productivity and save money.

Karl Flannery, CEO, Storm (pictured), said: “We believe this acquisition is a great move for both companies, our clients and our people. Our clients will benefit from the additional expertise we can now offer. Our people will benefit from incremental opportunities to develop their skills and talents across an extensive portfolio of solutions.”

Ciall will trade as Storm Technology and operations will be transferred to Storm’s head office in Dublin 7.

“I am very much looking forward to this new stage of our growth and working with the team at Storm. There are many synergies between our two companies and we have a strong existing working relationship. The acquisition formalises this and enables us to bring our complementary skills and capabilities to the market,” said Michele O’Gorman, director, Ciall.

Michael Horgan, director, Ciall, said: “Becoming part of Storm will give us greater scale and will broaden and deepen our offerings to the market. It will also enable us to build on the strong growth we have experienced over the past number of years.”

The acquisition brings a 25% increase to Storm’s revenue, expands its client base to over 140 and headcount to more than 100 staff.
