Slack has opened a European HQ in Dublin. The company plans to hire 100 people in the next two years in customer support and account management roles for the European market.

The jobs are being created with the support of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through IDA Ireland.

The popular messaging and search platform brings team communication into one place, creating a single unified archive accessible through powerful search.

With over 750,000 daily active users, Slack is the fastest growing business app ever, having launched in February 2014. Its customers include Adobe, Airbnb, BuzzFeed, Dow Jones, eBay, Expedia, HBO and The New York Times.

“The launch of our European headquarters is a significant milestone for Slack as we grow our business,” said James Sherrett, Slack’s Dublin-based accounts team lead. “With an initial focus on customer experience and account management, our Dublin office will play a central role in our international footprint.”
