RoomFilla, a platform that manages short term rentals for busy property portfolio owners based in Ireland, has been named one of seven start-ups selected to enter the JDFI (Joyful Frog Digital Incubator) Accelerate programme in Singapore.

The programme, the first of its kind to join the Global Accelerator Network set up by US accelerator pioneer Techstars, takes teams of entrepreneurs from validated ideas to investment readiness in 100 days.

The successful start-ups – selected from a field of 293 applicants – will share an investment fund of SGD530,000 (€334,000).

In addition to the cash investment, every team will enjoy a package including intensive one on one mentoring valued at SGD150,000, technical and other vendor perks worth more than SGD1,000,000 and the opportunity to pitch to over 100 active early-stage investors at a demo day in December.

JFDI Asia co-founder and CEO Hugh Mason said: “Great mentoring is the foundation of our program and when we attract great teams like this, both sides get as much out as they put in. It feels like confidence is growing across APAC that we can build future ‘Unicorn’ businesses to make life better for the next billion people coming online all around us.”

Since 2012, more than 60% of the 50 teams completing the JFDI programme have succeeded in raising an average SGD650,000 per team.
