Realex Payments has signed an agreement that will see its software process all of Aviva’s UK e-commerce and call centre transactions for a minimum of three years.

Realex also provides Aviva with custom reporting, and its fraud management solution, specifically the transaction screening and pattern checking tools, assists in the identification of suspicious transactions.

Mike Lincoln, payments manager, Aviva, said: “We process over 200,000 transactions monthly so resilience and scalability in our payment solution is crucial to us. The team at Realex Payments was instrumental in the success of the integration. The customer service and robust solution is exactly what Aviva requires from its payments solution.”

Gary Conroy, managing director, Realex Payments, added: “Realex Payments has been established in the insurance sector for many years, processing over £2 billion per annum for insurers, and we provide expert solutions to the particular challenges that the industry faces.”

Realex Payments, a division of US-based Global Payments, processes in excess of €28 billion per annum on behalf of 12,500 clients, which include Virgin Atlantic and Paddy Power.
