A business process and technology consulting firm, Prisa Consulting, has announced that it will create 20 new jobs over the next three years with an investment of €1.25 million.

Set up in 2010 by former Damovo managing director John McCabe, the firm specialises in helping public and private sector organisations manage change and business processes to improve efficiency.

The firm said that the new positions will include business analysts, business process and change management consultants, strategy and programme managers and several technical consultants with skills in disciplines such as telecommunications, network design and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

The expansion aims to increase the company turnover from the €1 million achieved in its first calendar year to of €4.5 million by the end of 2014.

"Industry analysts show that between 40 and 60% of ICT change projects fail," said John McCabe, CEO, Prisa Consulting. "The problem is that technology is put into an enterprise without the provider having a proper understanding of the customers, people, processes and systems. Our approach is to get the business process right before we identify and deploy a technology solution. This way we avoid project failure.

"Our focus is helping clients to transform the effectiveness of their business processes so that they are sustainable in the long-term. The result is better customer service and lower overheads."
