Making connections at TechTrade Live

14 October 2016

As Ireland’s only trade event for the IT channel, TechTrade Live attracts some of the most important and influential resellers, service providers, vendors and distributors.

This year’s theme is Opportunities. An exit survey of visitors at last year’s event revealed that 92% of attendees described their visit as ‘worthwhile’ – so opportunities clearly abound at this focused one-day event.

With an expected attendance of more than 300 resellers, TechTrade Live is not open to end-users: just a targeted, trade-only audience of channel professionals. It’s the perfect place to develop new partnerships and re-invigorate existing ones.

How’s business?
In the first ever insight of its kind into Ireland’s IT channel, the Channel Health Check survey is seeking views on the market and on future prospects. A €250 All4One voucher prize is offered to one survey participant: all responses are treated anonymously and contact information is not passed to any third party. The survey can be accessed at www.techtradelive.ie/survey-2016.

The survey results will be presented as part of the Sungard Availability Services hosted lunch and briefing on the day of the event, which will see the launch of the Sungard AS Partner programme. Kevin O’Connor, head of channel, Ireland, said: “This programme operates as a ‘sell with’ model. Whether your company has been in the IT channel for decades or was ‘born in the cloud’, the Sungard AS partner programme enables you to offer cloud, cloud recovery, managed application solutions, plus a host of hybrid IT offerings to your customers whilst building a significant recurring revenue stream.”

Registration for the Sungard lunch and briefing is at www.techtradelive.ie/sungard.

Headline partners
Along with Sungard Availability Services, the event’s other headline partners are Trend Micro and Dell.

The full Dell channel team will be on-site to discuss its latest partner offerings and incentives. Liz Caughey, regional sales manager – channel, Dell, commented: “We are excited and enthusiastic about the opportunities that are on offer to the channel community as Dell and EMC combine.

The channel is critically important to enable Dell EMC deliver on its growth ambitions into the future.

In Ireland both Dell and EMC have established partner programmes and a strong network of partners. The two programmes will combine into one partner programme on 1 February 2017 when the new Dell EMC programme is launched.

Dell EMC enables our partners to sell end-to-end technology solutions, from the edge to the core to the cloud.  Channel partners bring expertise and reach in the market to support the customers’ requirements.”

Trend Micro is a global leader in cyber security. The company delivers solutions for businesses, and governments, providing layered and integrated security for data centres, cloud environments, networks, and endpoints.

With more than 5,000 employees in 50+ countries and the world’s most advanced global threat intelligence, Trend Micro is one of the fastest growing security players in the market, supported by more than 900 UK & Ireland resellers.
