Zenith: A Strategic Funding Journey for Tech CEOs has been launched today. Developed by ISA Software Skillnet in partnership with the Irish Management Institute (IMI) and the Irish Software Association (ISA), the grant-aided programme for CEOs of scaling tech companies in Ireland aims to develop expertise in the funding options available to the sector and how to secure investment for growing businesses.

The four-day programme will be run by the IMI for companies with 10 or more employees and an annual turnover of between €1 million and €3 million, which are seeking investment to progress to the next stage of their business cycle.

Key features include the preparation of individual company funding journey plans and one-to-one coaching. A funding strategy masterclass will also be delivered by Canadian thought leader Dr Sean Wise.

Paul Sweetman, director, ISA, said: “The knowledge of funding options and the ability to secure investment is crucial for tech start-ups in Ireland today. A whole range of options exist for investees and investors. The roots of the Zenith programme lie in research from our own members and ISA Software Skillnet members, which shows there is a gap in the level of knowledge around funding options for companies ready to scale.”

“We believe Zenith, which has been designed by the IMI with extensive input from ISA member CEOs who have founded, scaled and exited technology companies, goes a long way towards closing that gap and will provide small software companies with the knowledge, contacts and experience they need to compete on the global stage.

A 50% grant aid towards fees is available from the ISA Software Skillnet for the first 12 applicants. Closing date for applications is 9 October ahead of a 22 October start date.
