IT outsourcing and cloud support group of companies I.T. Alliance is to create 25 jobs by the year end. Hiring of the new roles will commence at Career Zoo in the Convention Centre, Dublin on 12 September.

The group already employs 500 people project management staff across its various divisions in Park West, Dublin and Sheffield in the UK.

“As confidence returns to the economy, many organisations are looking to dust down and rapidly implement ICT (information and communications technology) projects which had previously been shelved during the recession,” said Dermot Hore, head of PMO, I.T. Alliance Group.

Hore said many large companies’ continued reliance on Windows XP was creating oportunities in project management.

“While StatCounter data finds that Windows XP Internet usage in Ireland has fallen from 7.7% to 4.1% over the last 12 months, we are surprisingly finding that many larger organisations are still reliant on XP. They are urgently implementing moves to upgrade which will accelerate the demand for project management services particularly for the larger rollouts across corporate and enterprise.”

In May this year I.T. Alliance’s sister company Auxilion announced an €800,000 investment in a new project support service designed to assist organisations deliver labour-intensive tasks associated with overall project delivery such as administration costs.
