Expanding responsibilities, defined roles and the ever evolving landscape of threats are some of the main themes of the 2016 ICS Leaders conference.

The conference will take place on 22 September at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin.

With a host of industry leaders and experts, from the Government CIO Barry Lowry to David Fox, CIO, Bord na Mona, Brona Kernan, IT director, Zurich, Yvonne Goff, chief clinical information officer, HSE, and Maurice Hennessy, CIO, DAA, and more, the event will tackle some of the perennial topics such as alignment of IT with the business, as well as emerging issues such as leveraging technology to disrupt and transform.

There are two main panel discussions which will deal with technology and business alignment, chaired by David Fox of Bord na Mona, and governance and risk, chaired by John Barron of Revenue.

With a mix of experience and insights, as well as open discussion, the event will explore gaining insights to stay ahead of expanding scopes of responsibility and threats, how to harness research and innovation to deliver real business value, as well as building a culture that drives security performance through employee engagement.

A key topic for the IT professional, especially those with an eye toward leadership, will be better understanding of roles to share challenges with others.

This year, Mediateam, publishers of TechPro magazine and TechCentral.ie is the media partner for the event.

TechCentral.ie and TechPro will carry a full report from the event.

The 2016 ICS Leaders Conference is open to ICS members and non-members.
