Microsoft's Cathriona Hallahan, Martin Cullen, Orla Hogan, Colin Cassidy and colleagues were recognised with a special award marking the company's 30 years in Ireland at the 2015 Tech Excellence Awards

Entries have officially opened for the 2016 Tech Excellence Awards. Now in its 16th year, the Awards recognise the achievement of the technology sector and provide a valuable opportunty to network and catch up with peers.

The core of the awards is the independent judging panel, comprised of respected industry figures, including serial entrepreneurs, business mentors and advisors.

This year’s judging panel features Forfas chairman Eoin O’Driscoll; Euristix co-founer Dr Jim Mountjoy; HelmAG managing director Tom McCarthy; Atlantic Bridge Ventures partner Peter McManaman; Iona Technologies co-founder Dr Sean Baker; and Storm Technology CEO Karl Flannery.

Entries will be accepted in the following categories:

SME Project of the Year
Mobility Project of the Year

Managed Service Company of the Year
Vertical Market Reseller of the Year
Technology Eporter of the Year
Specialist Distributor of the Year
Distributor of the Year
Company of the Year
Person of the Year

IT Professional of the Year
IT Architect of the Year
Rising Star of the Year

Multinational of the Year
Data Centre of the Year
Digital Strategy Partner of the Year
Best use of Technology in Education & Training
Best Place to Work in IT
Lifetime Achievement Award

The Awards will be presented on 12 May at a gala dinner the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin. Broadcaster Matt Cooper will once again be acting as master of ceremonies.
