Digatech completes McElhinneys IT refresh
Dublin-based Digatech has completed a three-month project with McElhinneys department store, that saw the Ballybofey, Co Donegal business upgrade its entire IT infrastructure, including EPOS system and Wi-Fi for customers.
The new network infrastructure also enabled the roll out of a state-of-the-art CCTV system with 200 cameras throughout the building.
The entire project took three months’ end-to-end and cost approximately €200,000.
Liam Fitzpatrick, managing director, Digatech, said: “Like all leading retailers, McElhinneys has had to keep up with the rapidly changing technology landscape to keep delivering a class-leading customer experience. This project had some unique challenges as it incorporated a total overhaul of everything in the IT infrastructure, without disrupting the functioning of the store in any way.”
