Consulting and enterprise IT services company Aspira is to mark 10 years in business with the opening of a new Dublin docklands operation.

The move represents a €1.2 million made in response to the Revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2), an EU Directive to be implemented by 2018.

The PSD2 is set to revolutionise banking services by enabling bank customers to use third-party providers such as Google or Facebook to manage their financial transactions. Aspira also announced services specifically designed to facilitate these changes in the banking and financial sector.

This new Fintech offering will contribute to a predicted growth for Aspira of 128% over the next three years.

Director of the Aspira Docklands office Russell Moore said: “Our new centre of excellence in the vibrant Docklands area will offer tailored services to the Financial Services and Banking sector, delivering solutions and technical expertise to address the regulatory changes imposed by the PSD2.”

Cork-headquartered Aspira, has reported significant success over the last three years, with accelerated growth of 65% in 2015 alone.

Aspira CEO Pat Lucey said: “Ten years is a huge milestone for Aspira, and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the whole team.

“We also are proud to say, having announced the creation of 50 high-level jobs in February 2016, the company has now filled all of these roles ahead of schedule, including several senior appointments.”
