Onspeed 4.0 ups the ante

Onspeed has launched the newest version of its software designed to speed up a dial-up connection. Onspeed 4.0 works in the same manner as previous versions in that it compresses Internet files in order to accelerate browsing and e-mail by up to five times the current speed of dial-up.

Version 4.0 promises to offer 40% additional image compression which should deliver faster performance. For E-mail, the new version is now compatible with IMAP as well as POP3 and SMTP.

Privacy Manager now appears as a new link in the pop up menu and enables users to clear cookies and cache files in Internet Explorer. The software works with Macs and PCs.

The software retails for €33.99 per year and be purchased at Onspeed’s website.
