Listen up for this week's selection

TechLife | 22 Feb 2012 :

Whole World Band
For: iOS

Developed by Kevin Godley (Godley & Crème, 10CC) and Andy Wood (Hypergallery, Cubic Motion), the WholeWorldBand App allows musicians to collaborate, share audio and visual creations, and generate revenue from them.

Recording artists signed up so far are The Edge, Ronnie Wood, Gemma Hayes, Liam O Maonlai and Cathy Davey have submitted material for users to play around with.

Exact release date to be confirmed.

CarsIreland.ie
For: iOS

The CarsIreland.ie app for iOS allows users to search over 30,000 used cars by make, model, year, price and county. You can also share cars from the app with friends by e-mail, Facebook and Twitter.

Other features include the ability to add and store notes for any car, save search criteria, select cars for offline viewing and even a map showing dealers' locations.

An Android version is in the works.

Dublin Does Fridays
For: Android, iOS

An events guide for the Capital with a social element, Dublin Does Fridays tracks your positin to show you what's going on near you and where your friends are. A social element gives the option to upload pictures of your nights out to the Dublin Does Fridays blog to share highlights of your evenings on the tiles.

The amount of sharing involved might not be to everyone taste, however, so read the terms and conditions before deciding whether to download or not. For a more conventional approach to listings the Entertainment.ie app might be a better solution.
