Arnotts has reported an increase in sales of 100% annually for its e-commerce site, the Buy4Now Technology Group.
The retailer said that there was an "estimated 1 million unique visitors during 2009" to the site, both national and international. The site is fully integrated with the Arnotts merchandise system, offering more than 10,000 products, ranging from giftware and fashion to furniture and electrical, while providing access to the latest in-store promotions.
The Buy4Now Technology Group is an Irish provider of e-commerce solutions using the software as a service (SaaS) model. The on demand platform allows the group to implement complete sophisticated, enterprise, e-commerce solutions, incorporating high availability hosting, integration to ERP, customised web storefront, merchandising, helpdesk, fulfilment and handheld picking, reporting and customer communications software. The group's clients include Superquinn, Three, Woodies, Elverys, and RTE.
"We are delighted with our new website developed by Buy4Now Technology Group," said Gerard Ryan, home buying director, Arnotts. "Arnotts Department Store is going through significant changes at the moment, including the opening of our new cosmetics hall and The Conran Shop in recent months."
"This website allows us to keep our customers up-to-date with all that's new in Arnotts and also lets them shop on-line from a significant range of brands in the comfort of their own homes," continues Ryan. "Our objective in the coming months is to continue to enhance the product offer on the site, particularly across our fashion departments. The on-line sales growth that we experienced in 2009 gives us great encouragement for the future".
"Arnotts, like many UK and US retailers, realised the need to provide multi-channel offerings to its consumers. Consumers like to choose how and when they shop and Arnotts aim to provide the majority of its product offerings online in 2010, thus helping consumers, no matter where they are geographically, to shop with Arnotts," said Michael Veale, CEO, Buy4Now Technology Group .
