Partner strategy: TerminalFour COO David Miller
Content management specialist TerminalFour has formed a transatlantic partnership with iFactory, a US provider of digital media solutions.
The firms say their agreement builds on both firms' internationalisation strategies: iFactory's expansion into the UK and TerminalFour's growing presence in the US. They say the pact has already yielded a major success with one of the largest universities in the American Midwest.
The firms' combine competencies and market presence in their respective higher education markets will, they say, create a powerful partnership.
The two firms' first joint customer is T4's 51st university client. Its new partner, iFactory, has implemented digital media projects for over 50 institutes of higher education, and won an MITX Interactive Award for the past two years for its work in this industry.
T4 and iFactory won the contract to provide the Midwest-based university with a holistic web development solution.
The university has a student population of nearly 40,000 and a faculty of 9,000. As its website had become the primary source for research, student recruitment and communications, it needed an overhaul. The scale of the project, coupled with the breadth of specialisations required to fulfil the website objectives, prompted the university to select a partnership model proposition.
T4 COO David Miller describes the partnership as "part of our broader partner strategy in the US."
Miller adds: "We're committed to increasing our US workforce and capitalising on growing opportunities in the higher education space." He said our joint forces will result in a compelling value proposition for the university sector."
Jose Fossi, chief executive of iFactory, adds: "We've both spent over a decade building a loyal customer base and specialist competencies unique to the higher education sector. We are excited about leveraging their capabilities to complement our own and benefit our clients."
