Compellent, which provides enterprise-class network storage solutions, says it is "aggressively growing" its channel-only sales model across Europe to meet continued demand for its Storage Center product.
It has recruited 12 channel partners in Ireland and the UK & Ireland, including Eclipse, Origina, and VirtualizeIT..
Compellent has named Chrissie Tarbitt as a channel development manager for Europe. Her role includes identifying and recruiting channel partners across Europe. Tarbitt was previously EMEA channel manager for Dell/Equallogic.
Bruce Kornfeld, Compellent VP for marketing, said of the firm's channel strategy: "Unlike other SAN vendors who use resellers for distribution but ultimately compete with them via direct sales, Compellent has no direct sales force and focuses all of its resources on helping partners sell and close deals." Kornfeld said Compellent's all-channel "assisted sales" model gives business partners "a major advantage over the competition when it comes to selling to, and servicing, their clients."
Andy Hardy, MD for international sales, said Compellent sought new business partners with "high levels of innovation, customer service and technical expertise for mid-sized and large enterprises."
