Irish software development firm SID2U has clinched a distribution agreement with Germany's Kölmel Computer for the distribution of its Automated Systems Administration product. The deal expands SID2U's presence in the German market.

SID2U MD Tom Flynn commented: "With the increasing regulatory, security and technical demands placed on network managers and IT administrators, we were looking for a partner who understands our business, our technology as well as the local region of Germany. Kölmel Computer fits that bill."

Flynn said a "considerable undertaking" had been involved, but that the distributor agreement had been "well worth the time and effort to cement, given in particular Kölmel Computer's rigorous verification and validation procedures." Flynn added: "There is now a considerable amount global interest in SID2U.com, and this partnership reinforces our position to build strong global channel relationships, ensuring that we consistently provide superior software to our international partners and customers."

Flynn said further "significant and global announcements" are in the pipeline.

Kölmel Computer CEO Christian Rastätter said he and his colleagues "look forward to working closely with SID2U.com to deliver high-value, innovative IT managed service products to our customers and resellers."
