Recently launched in Ireland, Meedoc is connects the user (by videocall) to a medical practitioner for advice. Think of it as a virtual alternative to having to visit a GP and read last month’s glossies in a room full of contagious patients.
Useful for regular ailments like an upset tummy that may require no more than a little TLC all the way up to prescription renewals and advice on mental health. You can even choose what doctor you want to chat with from Meedoc’s roster of GPs.

Ryanair

No-frills airline Ryanair has updated its app with a focus on making it easier for customers to browse, book and check in for flights.
Revised features include a better airport search function, an easier payment process and better information for non-EU customers or anyone looking for special assistance.

Solitaire Quest
For: iOS, Android
This fantasy game combines elements of the traditional solitaire card game and role-playing games. The gets to travel through beautifully crafted levels collecting fragments of icons which can be ‘spent’ in undoing bad moves or buying equipment or special powers for your character. Play on your own or with friends through Facebook.
