Kilkenny, Carlow, Sligo get catch-up, TV and movies over fibre



TechLife | 12 Oct 2012 :  UPC has expanded the reach of its On Demand TV service. Subscribers in Kilkenny, Carlow, Sligo, Portlaoise, Clonmel, Thurles, Athlone, Mullingar and Navan will now have access to TV series and new DVD releases delivered over the telco's fibre broadband network.

UPC launched On Demand earlier this year in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, followed by Shannon, Naas, Newbridge, Swords and Malahide were also enabled for On Demand TV during the Summer.

Simon Kelehan, head of content, UPC, said: "Through our major investments in Ireland, UPC now offers groundbreaking home entertainment, superfast broadband and communication services with unbeatable value. On Demand TV opens a new world of TV for UPC customers where they can schedule their viewing when they want it. It's the only true On-Demand TV service in Ireland which means you'll always be able to find something you enjoy."
