Eighty new busses to offer free connectivity

TechLife | 12 Oct 2012 :  Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar has unveiled the first of 80 new double decker buses equipped with Wi-Fi. Dublin Bus began trialling Wi-Fi in February on the 16 route from Santry to Ballinteer.

The new buses are being funded by the National Transport Authority as replacement vehicles for Dublin Bus under its public service obligation contract, with an investment of €26 million in the Dublin Bus fleet replacement programme.

Wi-Fi connectivity will be provided free-of-charge to passengers.
