IT solutions provider 1E has opened a software development office in Citywest, Dublin. The new office will employ up to 40 staff across software engineering, design and quality assurance over the next two years. The first 14 hires are due to be completed this month.

The company was introduced to Ireland through ConnectIreland, the company responsible for delivering the Government’s Succeed in Ireland initiative, as part of the Action Plan for Jobs, in association with IDA Ireland.

Sumir Karayi, CEO of 1E, said: “Our expansion into Ireland marks a period of strong growth for 1E. We now have offices in the UK, Ireland, USA and India, and we will be opening another office in the USA in 2015.”

Dave Harding, senior product manager responsible for the products being developed in Dublin, added: “Our goal is to help large companies reduce the cost of running their IT operations. Understanding the complexities of managing a large IT estate is a specialist field. By adding development functions in Dublin, 1E has access to three talent pools when hiring engineers: London, Noida and Dublin. We are building an exciting product and an extremely capable team. We look forward to expanding the team and to further hires in 2015.”

1E develops software for businesses that lets them more effectively manage their IT spending.
