Simply Dynamics tailors ERP solution for food retailer
Customised system allows Horgan’s to share real time information with employees

Dublin-based provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems Simply Dynamics has revealed its completed solution for food retailer and distributor Horgan's Delicatessen Supplies. The contract is valued at over €200,000 over three years.
The new system enables Horgan's to gain greater visibility and control over its production, sales and distribution processes. It includes the automation of data collection from order capture to processing purchases, sales and payments. The ERP platform integrates with Horgan's current applications such as forecasting software which supports the replenishment of stock, sales analysis and its Nomad hand held system that provides up to the minute information from delivery trucks, the warehouse and field sales representatives. Using the ERP system, Horgan's can share real-time product, pricing, inventory and invoicing information with all employees.
Simply Dynamics included a custom feature to the system allowing Horgan's to catch weight pricing for a number of its products. It also has an electronic data interchange system to handle orders from all the large retail multiples.

Horgan's supplies farmhouse and continental cheeses, specialty cooked and fermented meats, antipasti, fresh pasta and other speciality foods to individual stores and large retail outlets. Based in Cork, the company employs 78 people and has a turnover of €25 million.
