Meteor launches free data plans for pre-pay customers

Users get 50- 250Mb allowance

TechLife | 14 Aug 2012 :  Mobile phone provider Meteor has launched its Anytime Online plan for pre-pay customers offering free data with online top-ups at every level from €5 to €20.

The plan also includes free texts or calls to other Meteor customers. The amount of free data increases with the amount of the top up, a €5 top up includes 50Mb of data, while €20 comes with 250Mb.

Deirdre Currid, Meteor marketing communications manager, said: "We know our customers would love to connect with their friends on the go with Facebook and Twitter more often, but have the perception that mobile internet is out of their price range. In response to this, we created the Anytime Online campaign to show them that they no longer need to put themselves in awkward situations to avail of free Wi-Fi."
