
UPC expands on-demand offering
Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford to be switched on this Wednesday

UPC customers in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford are to get their turn to try out the telco's on-demand service from this Wednesday, 25 July. The move will enable a further 188,000 homes across the country following the introduction of the service in Dublin. So far, customers have access to catch-up TV services RTE Player and TV3's 3Player, along with box sets of popular TV series from the UK and US, and a movie rental catalogue.
UPC CEO Dana Strong (pictured) said: "Through our major investments in Ireland, UPC now offers groundbreaking home entertainment, superfast broadband and communication services with unbeatable value. On Demand TV opens a new world of TV for UPC customers where they can schedule their viewing when they want it."
