Staff numbers to break 1,000 mark by 2015



TechTrade | 03 Jul 2012 :  Global online payments company PayPal has opened its international operations centre in Dundalk with the creation of 60 new jobs. The site is responsible for customer service, risk operations, merchant services and sales across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This is the third eBay Inc site in Ireland, and brings the total amount of people employed to nearly 1500 with two other locations in Dublin.

Louise Phelan, vice president of global operations for PayPal in Europe welcomed the new employees to the site. "Today 60 people started working here and by the end of this year we will have over 200 people in Dundalk, with 1,000 by 2015. Our vision is to help people pay for things anytime, anywhere and on any device connected to the internet. Our new teammates in Dundalk will help us create the future of money."

PayPal is currently recruiting for roles in sales, customer support, finance, operations and compliance.
