Research firm plans in data analysis, phone research for Direct operation



TechTrade | 29 May 2012 :  Media and technology research company IDG Connect is to create 125 positions in campaign management, telephone support, data analysis and business intelligence at its office on Great Strand Street, Dublin.

The new operation, IDG Direct, will play a pivotal part in helping IDG Connect understand global buying behaviour. The new positions will be across data analysis, campaign management and telephone research.

IDG Group, headed by general manager John Moran, has recently taken on 60 staff and a global head of business intelligence. Recruitment for the new office is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.

John P. O'Malley, CEO, IDG Connect, said: "Ireland offers the perfect mix of core skills, high levels of education, an established infrastructure and multi-lingual labour pool to ensure this is a success. We are a fast growing business, focused on development, and our database lies at the heart of all initiatives.
