Cloud storage provider Mozy has announced plans to expand its presence in the channel. The company, which has been recruiting Irish partners into its international reseller scheme, has a global network of over 5,000 resellers serving 80,000 businesses worldwide.
"There's never been a better time to sell online backup in Ireland," said Mozy senior manager, marketing Claire Galbois-Alcaix. "In a year that has already been tipped to be the year of cloud adoption, Mozy has new products geared towards both SMBs and Enterprises - and now we have a new programme of pricing, rewards and support as well. Online backup from Mozy represents an excellent opportunity for resellers to generate recurring revenues whilst, at the same time, building trusted-advisor relationships with customers by ‘saving the day' when things go wrong and data is lost."
Resellers joining the Mozy channel programme will qualify for accreditation as either Mozy Silver Certified Resellers, Mozy Gold Certified Resellers or Mozy Platinum Partners, with tiered benefits associated with each.
VARs in Ireland will be able to sell Mozy's freshly-updated B2B product suite, comprising MozyPro and MozyEnterprise. Both product sets include the Mozy app, which offers IT-department-controlled mobile access to backed-up data for users of Android and iOS devices.
"Mozy's feature-rich administration console is what sets our product apart from the competition for our channel community," says Galbois-Alcaix. "With it, our resellers are able to manage, monitor and control their customers' backup and restore solutions from any Web-connected device. This enables them to respond quickly to data loss emergencies without even having to be onsite as well as being able to remotely monitor the health of a company's backup to ensure that they are always protected to the full."
Mozy was acquired by EMC Corporation in 2007 and operates as part of Decho Corporation.
